The City of Carpinteria is committed to continuing to provide essential local government services to the Carpinteria community during the extraordinary circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic. We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding that the situation is fluid and will continue to demand changes in how we endeavor to deliver services to the Carpinteria community.

Carpinteria Community Pool: After research and careful consideration, the Community Pool will be closed beginning Thursday, March 19, with scheduled reopening on Monday, April 6.

City Park Children’s Play areas and equipment: After research and careful consideration, the children’s playground areas and equipment at City Parks will be closed beginning today, Wednesday, March 19, with scheduled reopening on Monday, April 6.

  • Playgrounds at Memorial, Franklin Creek, Heath Ranch, El Carro, and Monte Vista Parks are closed. The State and City are cooperating on the closure of the Tomol Interpretive Play Area.
  • Park BBQ rentals have been suspended until further notice.
  • City Parks, Open Spaces and Trails will remain open to the public, and their maintenance and upkeep will continue with daily cleaning services for Park restrooms. Please leash your dog and maintain a six-foot distance from other persons.

All scheduled re-open dates are subject to change based on circumstances.
