A health order released this evening details requirements for the County of Santa Barbara’s shift back to the more restrictive Purple Tier. The State has reassigned Santa Barbara, as well as several other counties, to the most restrictive reopening tier in response to steeply rising COVID-19 numbers throughout California. Beginning on Nov. 17 at 11:59 p.m., the following sectors will again be restricted to outdoor operations only: restaurants, churches, fitness centers, movie theaters, and museums. Most retail stores must limit indoor capacity to 25%. Schools that are now open for in-person instruction may continue at this time. The full order is available at https://bit.ly/38R43Ki.
